The End Times

There are two main books of the bible that have to do with the end of the world so you can get a good understanding of how things are to take place in the end of times. The first is Daniel, and the second is Revelations. There is a great book I would like to recommend to you which is called 'Bruce and Stan's Guide to the End of the World'. You should be able to find it on www.amazon.com and save some money as well. It really helps to clarify the end times and what all is involved. If you have seen the Left Behind series you might think that you have a great idea of what might happen. Yet that is one of three different series having to do with the end times I know of off the top of my head. What is certain is that there will be an antichrist and a false prophet during the last years before all changes as we know it. Many think that there will be a one world government and I also think that this is the case, and that there will also be a method for acquiring goods as well. This method is known as the mark of the beast. Some think that it will be simply a computer chip inserted into a persons hand or forehead that they will have to have to buy anything under this new world governement. Another detail as well is that this government will be formed after the antichrist establishes a peaceful existence between Israel and Palestine and that will last seven years. There are also many signs that Christ said will happen before His return. One of those signs is Israel regains its statehood which happened on May 14th 1948.

The Rapture

Among the end times beliefs that believers have is the idea that rapture will occur. I agree that rapture will happen, but will take place when Christ has returned, or possibly before Tribulation starts. When that happens all true believers will be changed in an instant after the dead have been raised. The verses that I know support this are 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 and 1 Corinthians 15:51. Tribulation will be a terrible time of famines, plagues and other attrocities that will begin to occur once the antichrist has come into power and signed a peace pact with Israel. There are some that say that the rapture won't happen, yet I don't know how they think that is the case. When the rapture will happen is also a debate among believers.
